Established in 2012 in Jaipur, Rajasthan, Vivekananda Global University (VGU) is a multidisciplinary private university set up by the Rajasthan State Legislature under the Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur Act (Act No. 11/2012). Founded by the Bagru Raje Educational Society (BRES), VGU draws inspiration from Swami Vivekananda's vision of education as a force for personal and societal transformation.
Recognising the growing demand for accessible, career-oriented higher education, VGU launched its dedicated Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE).
